William D. Umansky or "The Lawman" as he is affectionately known by his peers has almost two decades of experience offering "Second Chances" to clients who have either been injured as a result of someone else's negligence or who have, unfortunately, been charged with a crime. His practice is based in Central Florida and he advocates for his clients throughout Florida. He is the Managing Partner of the Umansky Law Firm where he directs a team of lawyers dedicated to success and to working hard to try and achieve the results the firm's client's desire.

For over 20 years, Mr. Umansky has protected the rights of people. He believes that people are entitled to a second chance, whether they are a victim of circumstances or have simply made bad choices in their life, and works hard to give them that opportunity. A former prosecutor, Mr. Umansky has an inside understanding of how criminal investigations are conducted and uses this knowledge to find solutions that meet his clients’ needs.

Zahra Umansky was a former Assistant Public Defender in Brevard and Seminole Counties where she had over a hundred trials including crimes such as DUI, theft, assault, prostitution, trafficking and many other felonies and misdemeanors. She was able to successfully secure numerous not guilty verdicts and acquittals, protecting her client's right to liberty.

After Zahra left the Public Defender's office, she was appointed by the Mayor of Orlando, Glenda Hood as the Prosecutor for the City of Orlando. As the City Prosecutor, Zahra was successful in the implementation and prosecution of many types of criminal matters while also serving as the prosecutor before the City's Nuisance Abatement Board.

During her time with the City of Orlando, Zahra was a legal advisor to the Orlando Police Department where she trained law enforcement on search and seizure laws and other constitutional rights. She also reviewed search warrants, wiretap applications, and gave police last minute advice they needed before arrests were made.

With all her experience as a former prosecutor and legal advisor, Zahra can see and evaluate cases from both sides of the law. She understands how the police investigate and secure their evidence and how the State will present their case in court. Zahra is dedicated to defending the rights of her clients and approaches each case with aggressive and diligent representation. At the same time, she treats each client with the dignity and respect they deserve as human beings.

Ms. Wedge-McMillen worked as an Assistant State Attorney in Miami-Dade County, Florida, an Assistant Statewide Prosecutor for the Florida Attorney General's Office and a Special Assistant United States Attorney in the Middle District of Florida. This combined prosecutorial experience has provided her a very in-depth understanding of the criminal case investigative process and strategy used in litigating criminal cases.

Having conducted over fifty jury trials ranging from simple first degree misdemeanor cases of driving under the influence and the like all the way to charges as serious as First Degree Murder and Drug Trafficking, Anne has experience that is matched by few in the Central Florida legal community. She has developed a unique understanding of regulatory law that will now assist her criminal defense clients that might be facing similar charges.

Mr. Michael Barber began his legal career at the State Attorney’s Office in Orange County, Florida. As an Assistant State Attorney, Mr. Barber practiced in both County and Circuit Courts handling misdemeanor and traffic offenses, all the way up to serious felonies. While at the State Attorney’s Office, Mr. Barber developed, important skills and abilities that allows him to provide clients with superior representation.

Mr. Barber has a vast understanding of the prosecutorial process. He has seen many, many cases handled from their inception, at the decision to file charges, all the way through the plea negotiation process, and then to a conclusion with trial. Having the advantage of the inside knowledge of prosecutorial system, Mr. Barber will be able effectively and efficiently advocate on behalf of his clients. He will make it a priority to ensure that each of his clients know what is going on with their case and receive a fair treatment in the criminal justice system.
